When you do not have top-of-the-league depth, that makes your star players even more valuable to your team, that is exactly the situation the Atlanta Falcons are in. There just is not the depth that teams like the Kansas City Chiefs v or Buffalo Bills have.

Making sure your star players are healthy is so important for every team, but there are injuries or other instances that will happen. The good teams have a plan for every situation or any injury and that will be a focus for Atlanta Falcons general manager Terry Fontenot.

Just look at how the Chiefs were still able to finish that playoff game last season even after they lost Patrick Mahomes. Not to say they would survive without him for a full season, but they were able to finish a game without him.

Hopefully, the Atlanta Falcons will have young players step up and provide unforeseen depth because the likelihood of all ten of these players staying healthy for the whole season is extremely low.

These are rankings for the ten most valuable and essential players to the Atlanta Falcons contending in 2021, starting off with a surprising one

10) Younghoe Koo

This one may come as a shock for Atlanta Falcons fans, but hear this out.

You know about Younghoe Koo’s reliability last season when the Falcons lined up to kick field goals or PAT’s. He was virtually automatic.

This allows the offense to play more aggressively closer to the endzone. If you know that Koo is super reliable from near or far, then the offense can take more chances trying to get it into the endzone, rather than trying to make the kick as close as you can to ensure points.

That is the major area of his game obviously, but one that does not get talked about enough is how he has perfected the onside kick.

This can play as a huge weapon for the Atlanta Falcons. While they may not have been known for their late-game comebacks, you always know that even if you are down by two scores with under two minutes left, you still have a chance with Younghoe standing on your sideline. He brings an added dimension that no other kicker in the league has.
