PR and marketing business, Big Bamboo Agency, has appointed a head of digital.
Matt Dickinson’s arrival at the Harrogate-based agency, which was launched less than three years ago, takes the company’s headcount to 16.
Dickinson, who has spent eight years crafting his profession, will spearhead client Search Engine Optimisation and PPC campaigns.
He will be responsible for the management of online presence, analyse website performance as well as report on competitor activity.
Agency founder, Nicola Stamford, said: “We are delighted to welcome Matt to the growing Big Bamboo team. Matt’s experience will add a very significant string to our bow, and gives us another specialism to benefit our existing clients, as well as new ones.

Dickinson said: “Joining The Big Bamboo Agency as its head of digital is an exciting step for me, and I know I can add real value to the business, and more importantly to its clients.

Dickinson graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a BA (Hons) in business and management. His first experience of digital marketing was in 2013 with a Harrogate-based SEO specialist firm.
From initially working with a range of clients across a broad spectrum of digital marketing disciplines, he then concentrated on technical SEO and content marketing, which saw him structuring new websites, restructuring existing websites, keyword research and optimising page content.
In his last position as a senior SEO manager with a Leeds-based digital agency, he ran the SEO Department, managing client accounts, mentoring members of the wider team and exploring opportunities for client growth.”
Leeds-based integrated agency, ilk, is working with temporary recruitment software and funding experts, Flo.
Starting with brand strategy and then looking at design, website and ongoing communications, ilk will be helping Flo to evolve and develop its brand to highlight its core service proposition.
Phil McDonald, director at Flo, said: “We actually first made contact with ilk a few years ago, and although we didn’t end up working together then, the proposal they put together really stuck with us.
“When we realised we wanted to evolve our brand and relook at our proposition, it was an easy decision to get back in touch. We’re really excited about the project and the insight ilk will bring to the table.”

PR and digital agency The Partners Group has been appointed by growing security firm Gough & Kelly.
The win will see the York-based PR agency deliver ongoing media relations and social media campaigns to support Gough & Kelly’s growth and recruitment strategies.
Based in Leeds, Gough & Kelly delivers security products and services across the north of England.
The company’s client base covers the commercial, education, sporting, and events sectors and includes Leeds United, Castleford Tigers, Morrisons, DHL, Leeds City College, the University of Sheffield, City of York Council, and the new LNER Community Stadium.
Operations director Ian Crawford said: “As is the case for many companies, Gough & Kelly has been through significant change over the last 16 months.
“We’ve diversified the business to help customers meet the challenges presented by COVID-19, increased our workforce, and completed a management buyout.

Modular building specialist MTX, has appointed The Lucre Group to support its UK PR strategy, initially focusing on its healthcare property divisions.
MTX is the latest sector win for the Leeds-based PR, social and creative content agency, joining Berkeley Homes, MEPC Wellington Place and L&Q construction as part of its property portfolio.
